Zelda

Grey Legged Dart Frog

I had 2 of these lovely creatures which are grey legged dart frogs. Unfortunately at the grand age of 10 I lost Logan in May 2020 but Zelda is still going strong.

As a beginner to the amphibian world I was a little naive and they were sold to me as a breeding pair but actually they were both female so I got duped there but either way they are fascinating.

A fun fact for you; poison dart frogs are only poisonous in the wild due to what they eat. In captivity (if wild caught) they lose their toxicity after a short time of being on a new diet. If they are captive bred they have never been poisonous.

I love watching Zelda at feeding time!
