Our cancellation policy

Please read carefully!

Any booking taken with Scales and Tails comes with this cancellation Policy.

PARTIES AND ANIMAL HANDLING EVENTS

​

For parties and animal handling experiences we require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. 

If any amendments need to be made, providing it is at no cost to Scales and tails and our availability meets these changes, they can be made without charge. If not then you will be required to discuss the charges of these changes before deciding whether to agree and go ahead with the amendments.

In regards to cancellations for these events, we require more than 1 months notice. If 1 month or more is given then the deposit is non-refundable but no further charges will be expected.

If only 2-4 weeks notice is given a further 25% of your total booking is expected to still be paid. 

Anything less than 2 weeks notice, full payment is still expected.

PET SITTING SERVICES

​

For pet sitting services we require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. 

If any amendments need to be made, providing it is at no cost to Scales and tails and our availability meets these changes, they can be made without charge. If not then you will be required to discuss the charges of these changes before deciding whether to agree and go ahead with the amendments.

In regards to cancellations for these bookings, we require more than 1 months notice. If 1 month or more is given then the deposit is non-refundable but no further charges will be expected.

If 8 days to 4 weeks notice is given a further 25% of your total booking is expected to still be paid. 

Any less than 1 weeks notice, then full payment is still required to be paid.

DOG WALKING SERVICES

​

In regards to dog walking, you are committing to a regular booking with no set end date unless specified at the time of booking. Although we understand this is not going to be a permanent fixture forever and there are many circumstances in which you may need to cancel as a one off or completely moving forward, we do still require notice. 

To cancel a dog walk or to stop completely we require 1 months notice. If you wish to cancel with less than a months notice you may, but you will incur cancellation charges as follows;

Any walks being cancelled with less than 1 weeks notice are still to be paid in full.

Any walks to be cancelled with 8 days to 2 weeks notice you will be charged 75%

Any walks 15 days to 4 weeks notice and you will be charged 50%.

This includes any ammendments that need to be made to the duration of walk. If you currently have a 1hour walk and want to change it to 30mins we will need notice for this.

​

We understand these are difficult times so will try to help where we can however, we rely on our bookings and our clients being reliable and committing to the service they have agreed with us. 

Unfortunately, circumstances do arise that mean you may need to cancel the odd time last minute. As our animals still need caring for, no matter what your circumstances are, we still have to charge in order to protect our livelihood and our animals. These animals cost a lot in upkeep and we do not wish for them to suffer.

We advise if you have a holiday booked let us know at the time of booking the holiday, that you will not need us for these dates. This includes the school and bank holidays where you may not be going away so may not remember to tell us you do not need us but we still need to be given notice if you are not requiring our services.
